But whatever the case, I have had my experience and let's not do it again. Nick was on his Harley during this time at school and so I was home alone with the boys. This was the ending result of our night.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3816922472531623244.post-65287694416673786182009-06-16T19:59:00.002-05:002009-06-16T20:13:30.205-05:00Arkansas!We had a great opportunity to go to Arkansas to celebrate Nick's grandpa's 90th Birthday! We had a great time! Nick found the boys some turtles, (no they were NOT allowed to come home with us!! Wyatt thought he would show up Grandpa and said, "Grandpa, look what I can do!" He then dropped and gave Grandpa 10 push-ups. Grandpa laughed and said, "Wyatt, look what I can do!" Then he dropped and gave Wyatt 10! It was a moment I will never forget! I have been up all night and just can't sleep. I hate that. Anywho, I have TONS of pics I have to post along with all of their stories, but too tired right now. BUT, we are all doing great. School is finally over! Porter graduated kindergarten (one of those many pics and stories) and all is well. I have a new calling, yes they finally found me! I had no calling for over a year. So I guess I can't complain too much. I am the Primary Secretary! Just perfect for me! Love the kids and love to keep everything organized! SO, new calling, Porter graduating kindergarten, trip to Arkansas, surviving my first tornado, and many other things! I will post pics soon...as soon as I get some sleep! It's now 5:26 am...Wyatt will be up any minute...going to go try to lay down for a bit! Love and miss you all!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3816922472531623244.post-28350925697479514342009-05-03T22:22:00.002-05:002009-05-03T22:32:57.966-05:00The Swine has arrived!Well, I am happy to say that we as a family have NOT been blessed with the latest twist of the flu. Although, it is in our school district. And yes, I still drive the big yellow. As of now, they have closed 2 schools, one elementary and one middle school for the week. Either of which we attend or that I drive for. But there are still cases that have yet to be confirmed so we are still working until we hear further. GREAT!! And to our suprise, today we received a phone call that only Sacrament would take place today. I know I have lived in very few places, but the only time I have heard of church being cancelled is for the Utah blizzards! And as much as I hate snow, I would much rather have that right now then the threat of this flu! Other than that, we are all good. We have finally found out about Porter and why he has a stuffy nose year round. After many HORRIBLE tests, we found he has had a very serious sinus infection FOR YEARS. That makes a mother feel really good when the doctor tells you that! All 8 (yes, 8, didn't know there were that many) sinuses are so packed full of yuck that they are swollen trying to make room for more. So, Porter is on a 3 week antibotic and 2 nose sprays twice a day to try and get rid of this awful stuff. If this doesn't work, it is going to be surgery. We are praying it doesn't come to that, but they also told us that he will most likely be on and off meds for the rest of his life to prevent the build up again. UGH!! He is doing great in school and can't learn enough. I have bought many books to keep him busy and they are always completed in no time. He is WAY smart! Wyatt is good. Still a pill as always! He is WAY to sneaky. He has learned how to get out of his room without any of us knowing! I don't hear him at all. Not even on the baby monitor! He keeps us running always!! He is the one we can't let out of our sight even for a second or it's trouble! All is well here. Let's just get rid of this new flu and all will be well! Love and miss you all!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3816922472531623244.post-72568962717447567682009-04-14T18:45:00.013-05:002009-04-14T20:28:52.618-05:00I HATE NASCAR!!!Ok, so I knew when I moved into my house that I would be living next to Texas Motor Speedway. But I NEVER imagined the nightmare it would be during race weekend. I took these pictures on Saturday LONG before the race started so I could get home. They are not the full effect because the BIG race is on Sunday, so all the cones are not set up. To get the total picture just add a lot of red necks, beer, trucks, and stupid nascar flags.
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3816922472531623244.post-27955304432978360932009-03-26T20:16:00.001-05:002009-03-26T20:16:38.309-05:00Irish Dance

Try JibJab Sendables® eCards today!

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3816922472531623244.post-39904290289503326882009-03-03T21:32:00.002-06:002009-03-03T21:40:48.297-06:00OH, how time flies!Ok, so I am a complete slacker when it comes to blogging! I can't believe how fast time goes by! It seems like I just entered my last blog! All well, here again! Things are well here. I am so ready for spring that I can't stand it. We are in the Texas spring weather and that is when we can't decide what temperature we want to be at! One day it is 50 and the next day it's 85! So the air conditioner and the heater are getting a good work out this time of year! Nothing much has changed here. I am still driving the big yellow and doing payroll. Porter is doing great in school and is making great strides to be better every day. He is doing great at reading and wants to learn, learn, learn. He went on his first field trip last week and loved it. They went to the moon! (some museum thing at the university here) Wyatt, well, is still Wyatt. You can never take him serious. Always joking around. The other day Nick said to Wyatt, "You want a piece of me?" and Wyatt turned and looked at Nick without skipping a beat and said, "You can't handle this!" We all cracked up! Porter was laughing so hard he fell off the bed! Nick is still doing the work, work, work. He is still the employment specialist which also keeps him busy. He is still going to school Tuesdays and Thursdays. I now know where Porter gets that wanting to learn, learn, learn mindset. HIS DAD! Wyatt teases me all the time that I am the only one that is not in school. I try to explain to him that I go to school every day (on the bus more than once daily) but that himself and Porter teach me more and more every day! I love my family so much! It was great to be in Utah and to see everyone! It is late here and so I am off to bed! Hopefully it won't be so long before I sit down and write my next novel! I love and miss you all tons!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3816922472531623244.post-52751654500322472812009-02-15T14:19:00.005-06:002009-02-15T14:32:24.698-06:00Finally at Peace

I was able to go to Utah on Wednesday night for a very short period of time. I hope that everyone had a great Christmas also. We sure did! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Liechty for the trampoline, and Grammy and Pops for the Disneyworld trip! I can't seem to keep the boys off the trampoline! It's a good thing it has been in the 70's so they can stay out there all day! They told me I have to take their picture so we can put it on here with them jumping, so I will get that done soon. Wyatt was in the doctors office on Christmas Eve with a really bad case of that nasty croup. The doctor told me he had to drink steriods before we could go home, if he didn't drink them, we were in the hospital to force them into him. It took some convincing, but he finally drank them. Then on Monday we were back at the doctor. Now he has a really bad ear infection! Poor kid hasn't really had a vacation! Everyone else is well and kickin! We are trying to plan a trip to Utah this summer if all goes as planned! We will keep you informed so that we can all get together! We love and miss you all tons!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3816922472531623244.post-31213448263948765022008-12-01T21:13:00.002-06:002008-12-01T21:29:18.225-06:00All of you are CRAZY!!Ok, so I set up this blog thing to keep everyone informed on our life here in the BIG state of Texas. And I can't keep up with the thing! How do you people have the time to blog so much? All of you are CRAZY!! Things in Texas are great. We finally got cold weather and had to actually wear a coat today! BBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Everyone is well, well kinda. I didn't have to drive the bus the whole week of Thanksgiving and spent the whole time in my bed, knocked out day and night with sleepy medicine because I was so sick and of course no doctors open! But, I did get up that morning and cook the fancy lunch for everyone! But after that, back to the bed I went. All is well now. I still have the lingering, annoying cough, but other than that, good to go. Nick is now the one sick and in bed! So, by Christmas we should all be over this crap and be on with our lives! Boys are doing great. Porter is wanting to read so bad it hurts and his teacher said they are not at that point yet. Well, forget that! We have been working on it at home and he seems to be doing great. He wants to know how to spell every word you say. So I have to be careful how much I talk, because it ends up being a VERY long conversation after having to spell it all too! But I love that he is so eager and willing to learn. I feel as though there are times that I am not able to keep up with him! He wants to know so much and often asks me questions I don't know the answer to. And that frustrates him very much. He said I should know everything because I am a mom! If he only knew! So I spend a lot of nights on the computer researching all that he wants to know. From now on, Mindy, will be getting a lot of phone calls from Porter. Most of the questions he has are about the body and how it works. I know the basics, but when he wants to know what the inside of a brain looks like and wants to see the process of food from the time it goes in, to the time it goes out, I'm out. I don't know a lot about that kind of stuff. It grosses me out! Wyatt is, well, Wyatt. Always willing to do whatever and always with a smile. He is the funny one, that is for sure. I never know if he is telling a joke or serious. He likes to switch names now. On the bus today he said, Daddy, I really love you. I said, oh, Wyatt that is so nice. You can tell him when we get home. He said, ok, Dad, but my name is Porter. He is funny. He is often mad at me on the bus because he wants to play with all the kids, but has to still be in a carseat. So, he tries to share his toys with the others, by throwing them over his head and yelling, "CATCH" only after it has been thrown. Makes it so pleasant to hear crying children from being hit in the head from Wyatt's toys. :) He is very active and is always wanting to move. Porter sometimes says, Wyatt, you are driving me crazy! Hold still just for 5 seconds and I will count. Wyatt's response is always the same, But I just can't! That explains it all. Nick is still working CRAZY hours at Chase, but the lawn care business is done for the season so that helps out a lot. Plus he has decided not to do much high school wrestling this year. That leaves just one job and school. So maybe we will see each other this month! We love and miss you all tons. We hope to be able to see everyone soon.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3816922472531623244.post-3051994419581839772008-11-02T19:14:00.002-06:002008-11-02T19:24:18.684-06:00Happy Halloween!!!

We had a GREAT halloween! We received about a years worth of candy for all of us! In our neighborhood everyone starts to trick or treat around 6:00 pm. We were outside at 6:30 starting to hand out candy, (there are so many people that we all sit in our driveways to hand out candy so you aren't running to the door every 10 seconds), we had 18 bags of candy and we were out at 8:00 pm! CRAZY!! Every year I run out so the following year I always buy more. I guess it is just going to come down to, when it's gone, it's gone. I'm not going to try to keep up next year. The boys had a great time. I took them trick or treating and I even dressed up! Wyatt was scared of EVERY house we went to, no matter what. All is well in Texas still. We are in the 80's still and in shorts and t-shirts! We are ready for some fall weather. The race at Texas Motor Speedway was this weekend and I actually ventured out this time! And I will NEVER do that again! It drives me crazy! They shut down the WHOLE freeway going both ways, which is the only way to my house! Needless to say, I am NOT a NASCAR fan! All, we love and miss you all!!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3816922472531623244.post-75409726705367763722008-10-16T20:19:00.002-05:002008-10-16T20:33:17.900-05:00Just another day!I was sitting here playing around on this thing and it is really cool! It is great to hear from everyone and to see pictures and blogs of everyone also. Things in Texas are going well. We were in the mid 80's earlier this week and a cold front came through last night and so now we are in the low 70's. I guess fall is finally here! Nick is still working about 15 jobs it seems like. He sure is a hard worker and that is one of the many things I love about him. He is working for JPMorganChase reselling foreclosed homes, so needless to say, he is very busy. He is also going to school two nights a week, owns a lawncare company, and is going to start being a ref for high school wrestling. He is also the ward employment specialist. WOW! What a man! I am still driving a school bus and loving it (most days)! I also do the payroll for all the bus drivers (which is up to 150 or so now) so I am working more than 40 hours a week also. Wyatt is able to go with me on the bus and he loves it. He almost has all the elementary kids names memorized. He loves to talk to them and is the clown of the bus. He has a way of always making the kids smile and gets mad at them if they don't give him a high 5 when they get on the bus. Porter started Kindergarten this year!! I can't believe he is 5! Kindergarten is a full day and there are many days where he comes home VERY tired. He is doing great and loving school. He is just starting to learn how to read. We went to parent teacher conference just last night and his teacher is amazed at how smart he is. Each student starts out on reading level A. There is A, B, 1, 2 3. She said that after her individual assessments, most of the class is on level A. Porter is currently on level 1. They are required to be a level 3 by the end of the school year. She was not worried at all about Porter hitting that goal. So all is well at school! So, that is about it for us. It is the same thing day in and day out. We are trying to just keep up with it all just like everyone else! We love and miss everyone so much!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3816922472531623244.post-66243600559131101052008-10-14T20:18:00.000-05:002008-10-14T20:19:34.979-05:00Ok, so far I have figured out the background on this thing and that is about it.
