Survived My First Tornado!

Ok, some say it was an F1, some say it was straight line winds. But whatever the case, I have had my experience and let's not do it again. Nick was on his Harley during this time at school and so I was home alone with the boys. This was the ending result of our night.

Arkansas!

We had a great opportunity to go to Arkansas to celebrate Nick's grandpa's 90th Birthday! We had a great time! Nick found the boys some turtles, (no they were NOT allowed to come home with us!! Wyatt thought he would show up Grandpa and said, "Grandpa, look what I can do!" He then dropped and gave Grandpa 10 push-ups. Grandpa laughed and said, "Wyatt, look what I can do!" Then he dropped and gave Wyatt 10! It was a moment I will never forget! We love you Grandpa!

Porter's First Graduation!!

We can't believe that Kindergarten is already over! He is getting too smart for his own good! We are so proud of you, Porter! Congrats! We love you!

Wyatt's Birthday!!!

Here are some pictures from Wyatt's Birthday Party! I was so tired after! I need some of these kids energy! We can't believe he is 4 already! Where does the time go? We love you, Wyatt!!

So much to Blog about!!

Ok, so quick update for now. I have been up all night and just can't sleep. I hate that. Anywho, I have TONS of pics I have to post along with all of their stories, but too tired right now. BUT, we are all doing great. School is finally over! Porter graduated kindergarten (one of those many pics and stories) and all is well. I have a new calling, yes they finally found me! I had no calling for over a year. So I guess I can't complain too much. I am the Primary Secretary! Just perfect for me! Love the kids and love to keep everything organized! SO, new calling, Porter graduating kindergarten, trip to Arkansas, surviving my first tornado, and many other things! I will post pics soon...as soon as I get some sleep! It's now 5:26 am...Wyatt will be up any minute...going to go try to lay down for a bit! Love and miss you all!

The Swine has arrived!

Well, I am happy to say that we as a family have NOT been blessed with the latest twist of the flu. Although, it is in our school district. And yes, I still drive the big yellow. As of now, they have closed 2 schools, one elementary and one middle school for the week. Either of which we attend or that I drive for. But there are still cases that have yet to be confirmed so we are still working until we hear further. GREAT!! And to our suprise, today we received a phone call that only Sacrament would take place today. I know I have lived in very few places, but the only time I have heard of church being cancelled is for the Utah blizzards! And as much as I hate snow, I would much rather have that right now then the threat of this flu! Other than that, we are all good. We have finally found out about Porter and why he has a stuffy nose year round. After many HORRIBLE tests, we found he has had a very serious sinus infection FOR YEARS. That makes a mother feel really good when the doctor tells you that! All 8 (yes, 8, didn't know there were that many) sinuses are so packed full of yuck that they are swollen trying to make room for more. So, Porter is on a 3 week antibotic and 2 nose sprays twice a day to try and get rid of this awful stuff. If this doesn't work, it is going to be surgery. We are praying it doesn't come to that, but they also told us that he will most likely be on and off meds for the rest of his life to prevent the build up again. UGH!! He is doing great in school and can't learn enough. I have bought many books to keep him busy and they are always completed in no time. He is WAY smart! Wyatt is good. Still a pill as always! He is WAY to sneaky. He has learned how to get out of his room without any of us knowing! I don't hear him at all. Not even on the baby monitor! He keeps us running always!! He is the one we can't let out of our sight even for a second or it's trouble! All is well here. Let's just get rid of this new flu and all will be well! Love and miss you all!

I HATE NASCAR!!!

Ok, so I knew when I moved into my house that I would be living next to Texas Motor Speedway. But I NEVER imagined the nightmare it would be during race weekend. I took these pictures on Saturday LONG before the race started so I could get home. They are not the full effect because the BIG race is on Sunday, so all the cones are not set up. To get the total picture just add a lot of red necks, beer, trucks, and stupid nascar flags.

OH, how time flies!

Ok, so I am a complete slacker when it comes to blogging! I can't believe how fast time goes by! It seems like I just entered my last blog! All well, here again! Things are well here. I am so ready for spring that I can't stand it. We are in the Texas spring weather and that is when we can't decide what temperature we want to be at! One day it is 50 and the next day it's 85! So the air conditioner and the heater are getting a good work out this time of year! Nothing much has changed here. I am still driving the big yellow and doing payroll. Porter is doing great in school and is making great strides to be better every day. He is doing great at reading and wants to learn, learn, learn. He went on his first field trip last week and loved it. They went to the moon! (some museum thing at the university here) Wyatt, well, is still Wyatt. You can never take him serious. Always joking around. The other day Nick said to Wyatt, "You want a piece of me?" and Wyatt turned and looked at Nick without skipping a beat and said, "You can't handle this!" We all cracked up! Porter was laughing so hard he fell off the bed! Nick is still doing the work, work, work. He is still the employment specialist which also keeps him busy. He is still going to school Tuesdays and Thursdays. I now know where Porter gets that wanting to learn, learn, learn mindset. HIS DAD! Wyatt teases me all the time that I am the only one that is not in school. I try to explain to him that I go to school every day (on the bus more than once daily) but that himself and Porter teach me more and more every day! I love my family so much! It was great to be in Utah and to see everyone! It is late here and so I am off to bed! Hopefully it won't be so long before I sit down and write my next novel! I love and miss you all tons!

Finally at Peace

I was able to go to Utah on Wednesday night for a very short period of time. My Grandpa Liechty passed away peacefully on February 9th after a very long battle with Parkinson's Disease. We are grateful that our Heavenly Father gave him to us to enjoy but also grateful that he has been removed him from his mortal state of pain and that he is with his parents again. We will miss him greatly.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Just wanted to make a quick post and tell everyone HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope that everyone had a great Christmas also. We sure did! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Liechty for the trampoline, and Grammy and Pops for the Disneyworld trip! I can't seem to keep the boys off the trampoline! It's a good thing it has been in the 70's so they can stay out there all day! They told me I have to take their picture so we can put it on here with them jumping, so I will get that done soon. Wyatt was in the doctors office on Christmas Eve with a really bad case of that nasty croup. The doctor told me he had to drink steriods before we could go home, if he didn't drink them, we were in the hospital to force them into him. It took some convincing, but he finally drank them. Then on Monday we were back at the doctor. Now he has a really bad ear infection! Poor kid hasn't really had a vacation! Everyone else is well and kickin! We are trying to plan a trip to Utah this summer if all goes as planned! We will keep you informed so that we can all get together! We love and miss you all tons!
